Starting point: Sidetrack to Obermauern, 1,300 m.Approach: Across fields straight down to the scarp of the Iselschlucht Gorge. At a cluster of trees (large spruce) you'll find the tail of the falls. To get to the entry point you need to rappel twice down to the Isel River (make sure to check the water level of the Isel before). CAUTION: No exit from the gorge, you have to climb!Descent: Climb up the icefall and back to the car.Ice build-up: Forms every year.Hazards: In the afternoon, the icicles get heated up by the sun in the tail area.Opened up by: Unknown. Special features: Rewarding icefalls which can be reached without complications with low objective hazards. Often only the last pitch is climbed by toprope.
